Purpose:

The Cost Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting costs associated with production, inventory, and operations across global QualiTech. This role supports financial planning, margin analysis, and decision-making by ensuring accurate cost data and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Analyze and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
Monitor and report on cost variances. (material, labor, and overhead).
Prepare monthly inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
Partner with operations to understand production processes and cost drivers.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs.
Reconcile inventory accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
Develop and improve cost accounting systems, processes, and controls.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability.

Days
Overtime and weekends may be required.

Skills/Work Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central a plus).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
CPA or CMA certification (or in progress).
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

Work Environment:

Office-based with regular interaction with operations and production teams.
Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months.
Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet.
