Purpose:
The Cost Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting costs associated with production, inventory, and operations across global QualiTech. This role supports financial planning, margin analysis, and decision-making by ensuring accurate cost data and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Monitor and report on cost variances. (material, labor, and overhead).
- Prepare monthly inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
- Partner with operations to understand production processes and cost drivers.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing costs.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
- Develop and improve cost accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability.

Skills/Work Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- CPA or CMA certification (or in progress).
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with standard costing and variance analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular interaction with operations and production teams.
- Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months.
