Job Details:
- $20.00/hr. during training. Once you are signed off for Oven and Mixer, pay increases to $21.50.00/hr.
- May be trained on 1st or 3rd.
- 3rd shift differential when moved to shift - $2.00/hr.
- Experience required.
Hours:
- Monday - Friday/8 hours shift.
- Some weekends may be required.

Purpose:
Pre-Bake Operators are primarily responsible for the ongoing production of the industrial baking machinery and support areas they are assigned to on a day-to-day basis; including mixers, ovens, pre-weigh ingredients, and other machines as assigned. These positions require a wide scope of knowledge of the many different machines and processes throughout our cookie production to be successful.
Perform day-to-day production operations in the assigned workstation, including, but not limited to:
- Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.
- Participation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs.
- Completion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the year.
- Pre-weighing and preparing raw baking ingredients.
- Combining dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers.
- Ensure cookie product ingredients are mixed as the recipe specifies.
- Ensure cookie product quality conforms to quality standards through the baking process.
- Ensure cookie products are wrapped/bagged, and correct problems with machinery settings.
- Seal out boxed cookie products with correct labeling for warehouse storage and shipping.
- Breaking down and installing rollers, dies, rotaries, and other machinery parts.
- Washing equipment and parts between production changeovers.
- Maintain equipment in sanitary and working conditions.

Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Fluent in reading, speaking and understanding the English language.
- Manufacturing or food handling industry knowledge.
- Being able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Industrial technical or machinery experience.
- Basic hand tool and computer user interface knowledge.
- Food and safety knowledge.
Equipment Used:
- Box cutter.
- Spatulas, scoops, and scrapers.
- Scales.
- Computer and barcode scanner.
- Safety Glasses.
- Lockout/Tag out.
- Basic use of Hand Tools.
- Cleaning Chemicals and Foaming Equipment.
- Water Hose (Working in a wet environment).
